- Upper Material: Built using a highly abrasion-resistant microfiber paneling with a padded front and flexible ankle area.
- Inner Lining: Uses a breathable Air Tech mesh lining paired with internal padding to prevent pressure points and keep feet dry in hot weather.
- Sole Construction: Features a traditional, handcrafted “Goodyear” stitched rubber sole. It includes a variable density polyurethane footbed reinforced with an internal steel shank to absorb extreme vertical impacts. The entire sole is highly wear-resistant and fully replaceable.
- Fastening System: Utilizes four micro-adjustable, interchangeable polyurethane buckles coupled with a top velcro collar to ensure an ergonomic, secure fit while blocking out outside dirt and debris.

- Shin & Heel Guard: Rigid PU plates protect the front shinbone and back heel zone from flying debris and bike impacts.
- Ankle & Toe Armour: Rigid PU guards surround the structural ankle joints and toes, topped off with an interchangeable traditional steel toe cap.
- Internal Heat Shield: The medial (inner) side features a suede/microfiber heat guard. This structure protects the rider from exhaust heat while significantly increasing grip against the motorcycle frame.
Fit and Performance Realities
- Sizing & Width: True to standard TCX sizing (EU 38–49). The fit leans slightly “roomy” or standard D-width, making it comfortable for riders with wider feet but potentially loose for very narrow feet.
- Calf Adjustability: Features a movable PU shin plate setup. This design allows riders to expand the upper collar to seamlessly accommodate bulky knee braces or guards.
- Weather Limitations: The X-Blast is not waterproof. While it handles minor splashes via its upper gaiter, it prioritizes maximum air ventilation over moisture blocking.
