Material Composition & Weatherproofing
The Saga WP gloves feature a multi-layered construction that balances comfort, insulation, and waterproofing:
- Outer Shell: Made of a durable waterproof fabric upper shell combined with a TR1-grade water-repellent goat leather palm.
- Waterproof Membrane: Integrated with a Hipora™ waterproof membrane featuring SkinFit XTR technology, which keeps the inner lining firmly bonded to prevent it from pulling out when taking the gloves off with damp hands.
- Thermal Insulation: Lined with 3M Thinsulate™ (C40G) to trap body heat effectively without adding bulk, paired with a soft and sustainable Bemberg™ cupro lining by Asahi Kasei on the palm.
Safety & Impact Protection
Designed to provide reliable slide and impact safety, the gloves include:
- Knuckles: Equipped with ImpactOn™ knuckle armour that passes CE Level 1 safety testing.
- Palms & Slides: Features high-abrasion SuperFabric™ on the palm to facilitate safe sliding during a crash, backed by extra EVA padding for comfort and impact absorption.
- Finger & Wrist Guard: Additional EVA padding is placed strategically across the fingers and wrist area.
Comfort & Ergonomic Features
- Wet-Weather Grip: Silicon printing is used on the palm to ensure a secure lever grip even when wet.
- Visor Wiper: Built-in rubber visor wiper on the left index finger to clear rain off your helmet screen seamlessly.
- Dexterity: Leather accordion stretch panels are positioned at the finger joints and below the knuckles for maximum flexibility.
- Device Compatibility: Features touch-screen compatible material on both the index finger and thumb.
- Closure & Visibility: Uses a slim-profile double closure system with an adjustable hook-and-loop wrist strap, alongside integrated reflective panels and branding for low-light visibility.
